Week 2 7/9
Today it is our second group meeting that will allocate the tasks separately . What I firstly have to do is to make a proposal for the future tasks. I have never done this kind of work before and I have no idea how to organize it. I search it on Google and try to look for a model. My first try to make a proposal is definitely not OK then, and my supervisor teach me how to make it step by step.
At the beginning, I think the written plan or proposal is not that big deal because it is event, the point is how to operate it during the process of event. But my supervisor told me that a good ending is definitely led by a good beginning, and the good beginning is what you can think about or plan on paper. When we finish all the event, you will be thankful to your proposal.
I try my best to list what I have to do in the coming weeks, after I rewrite several times, I summarize it and there are 2 points that I can put into use in future. Firstly, Do not ignore every single tiny details in the proposal. Every little tiny part that you might overlook can lead to a bad result. It would take some time to rethink and rewrite in order to planning comprehensively, but it is worth to do that. In addition, back-up is always necessary. You may have to prepare two proposal what if something urgent happens. Making a back-up helps you to take a turn to be out of danger when you are in trouble.
That's what I learn today, I'm sure it must be helpful.
Hi Chen Chen
回复删除How's it going? Hope you are doing well with your internship. I agree with your supesrvisor that having a solid proposal is a start to a good event or project. It will lay a solid foundation for the activities to come and things that entails. In some way, like a skeleton, providing a good structure for the event that everyone can refer and revisit at different point of the event organising process. But of course, with that said.. The execution and follow through of the event and nitty gritty details within are s important too. I'm also involved in an event : an art fair.. And yup, there's are so much preparation behind org an event! But it is fun and exciting to see how all the effort leads up to the actual product itself!
Good Luck!

删除Hi Chen Chen,
回复删除It looks you have learnt very valuable things to organise an event. I also agree that the detailed plan is important. In the planning process, you might come up with so many things that you should make sure to make the event happen successfully. I believe that there might be some accidental or unexpected situations, even you thought you have planned everything well. Maybe that's why people respect and value those who have lots of experiences, because they know what to do and how to deal with those unexpected situations.
I am sure that your experience as an intern this time will be definately advantage for you in the future.
